The closest Walmart to the airport is at Deerfoot Mall (although outside the mall, so you don't have the issues as noted above). Take Airport Tr. to Deerfoot Trail and go south to the next exit (64th Ave). Go east on 64th Ave. There's a mall on your right hand side, the Walmart is south east of the mall.
Agree, I have NEVER seen a Walmart in Canada, that even comes close to the one`s I have seen in the Southern USA… they are beyond enormous… The Department Store portion being as big if not bigger than any up here… then ADD on a Full-Size Grocery Store, and an Automotive Store complete with Service Bays…
The Zellers at the Oakridge Shopping Centre is still open. You can access it by taking the Canada Line from downtown Vancouver and getting off at the Oakridge/41st Station. (It's a one-zone trip - $2.50.) There is also a Zellers out at the Landsdowne Shopping Centre in Richmond. You can access it by taking the Canada Line to the Landsdowne Station.
