In all 5 cases, booking directly was either the same price or slightly lower. My conclusion is Costco Travel isn't a good value. Report inappropriate content. CapeCodCharlie.

The breakfast was a good deal but I believe we could have got that with other packages as an add on. I am an avis preferred member so stuck with them for the rental, did not find out until after the trip that booking through Costco meant that we would get not points for the 6 day upgraded rental.
We used Costco to travel to London last year and it was very good, a good value. Not so much in Italy. We are planning a trip in early October - 4 days in Rome, 4 days in Florence. I'm figuring $200/night looks about right as a base rate. The good part of Costco is convenience and they do stand behind their services.
