You should check your Geico policy but I highly doubt it covers to Rentals in aruba. When I rented, i used my Amex so I didn’t purchase additional coverage.

    Sorry but any liability insurance carried by the car rental company DOES NOT cover the renter. If renter elects not to purchase the optional Liability coverage from the car rental company the renter is personally liable for any claims made by a third party as a result of an accident the renter cause while driving a rental car.

    1. Re: Car rental insurance question. Your Geico insurance is not valid in Mexico and credit card insurance does not cover liability - everybody must have minimum liability insurance. Liability insurance covers damage caused to other people cars, property, and injury.

That said, if relying on credit car cover, do recheck the terms — and note that some bank cards have dropped coverage in the last 2 years. Report inappropriate content.

    The rental car companies will have that on their cars to get them registered to begin with. But it will be the bare minimum. Then you have collision coverage for accidents as well as comprehensive for damage when you are not in the rental, (fire and theft, etc). You might consider, just using Uber.
