Yes, only AMEX appears to work successfully with Pasmo via Apple Pay in Wallet. I created new Pasmo cards in the Wallet app using AMEX, and then decided to see if I could top up the card as well. I could successfully “add money”, again in JYE currency of course, using AMEX as payment method. FYI, this was all done within a US location.
Answer 1 of 17: I have heard that it is hard to turn off data roaming on the iPhone. I tried to do it in Europe on my iPhone 4 and thought I had done so, but then I found it still connected if there was no wifi. . Now I'm off to Japan and really need to be sure...
