    So Citi was correct, you need to call AAdvantage and they will figure out both numbers and pretty much merge the accounts into a single one (I do not know which one you ll keep) or give you your AAdvantage number and start getting all your miles there.     Good luck. 24 hours after statement closing may not be "typical", but it is the time frame my miles post, as well. Every month for the 17+ years I've had a Citi AA card, miles post to my AAdvantage account the day after statement closing. Two days after the statement date, like clockwork.
