Traveling from out of state and have several days in Denver. Is Denver Art Museum worth a trip with 4 kids (ages 1, 3, 5, and 7). We happen to be there on one of the free days too. The kids are well-traveled and well-behaved but by no means kids who would stare at art pieces if you know what I mean.

There are two parts- the original museum has wonderful and varied exhibits and they usually have a special exhibit that is interesting. The newer building is the contemporary one and even the building is a piece of art. Denver is very proud of a really incredible collection in both and they are so worth visiting! Once in awhile there is a free day.
