   If I were making this drive, I'd cut over to the west on I-10 to pick up 27 and drive it all of the way. Use Google maps to "see" the route. Put in Tampa > Bluffton, GA > Rome, GA > Chickamauga, GA. It's pretty much a straight shot north.    Google Map France can also be downloaded for offline use. You just won't get live traffic. Map use doesn't consume a ton of data anyway. I have an old but still kicking Garmin as well. I still use it when I drive in foreign countries. I then use Google Map as a back-up, primarily for searches.
