If you are an Amazon Prime member you can download a lot of their Prime videos for free. Again, do this before your flight. Edited: 7 years ago.

I am incredibly frustrated with this because they have blocked the use of Google Play and any of the apps you might have access to that way.
As others have said, there isn't a blanket rule covering small devices like Kindles where the batteries cannot be removed. It is worth understanding a bit more about batteries and potential hazards whether they are big, or small, because there is no guarantee that a device will not malfunction at some point.
