There are several rental companies a 'reasonable' distance from Union Station. Closest is Dollar on NW Broadway/Davis. A couple others (Hertz & Enterprise) are just south of Burnside, around SW Pine/4th, opposite Embassy Suites hotel. Avis is a couple blocks further south, on SW Washington/4th.
1. Re: car rental near train station. 17 years ago. There are no rental car companies near the station. The train station is in a seedy and industrial part of town. However, I think Hertz downtown location will bring a car to the station or pick you up and take you to their office. Enterprise probably will as well.

Here are your options: 1) Enterprise will pick you up from the train station and take you to their office to arrange the rental.
