1. Re: Hertz downtown 1501 8th ave car return. 1 year ago. I tried calling as well but no real info. I did a 'dummy booking' and put in a return time when they were closed. It said I would be billed until they open up so if you were doing this on a sat you would get billed to monday. After Hours Return Service.

Hertz Car Rental - Denver Airport. 1 year ago. Over 50 people waiting in the Denver Hertz Rental lobby. We waited for over 2 hours and finally called an Uber. Sadly they had many cars in the lot but they were considered upgrades and price gauging customers if they wanted a car. I had a full size reserved on a corporate account (business trip).

Some Hertz locations are just that - painful to deal with. Others are nicer. Hertz 800 number is 1 (800) 654-4173 so you might want to see if they can direct you to someone who is not at the location you rented from. (I would not give it much hope but I would suggest trying to contact people outside of the location you rented from if possible).
