2. Re: Which Rental Car Companies Are Easiest at Airport. All car rental facilities at LAX are off-site, and you will need to take a shuttle from the terminal to get to one. I would stick with the major firms - Avis, Budget, Enterprise, Hertz, National, Thrifty.
I like Costco because it brings up some of the majors at once....Avis, Budget, Enterprise and Alamo. For instance, right now my car booked through Costco with Budget is almost $200 less than booking with Budget directly. I've canceled and re-booked several times already and still have 3 months to go.
5 years ago. Prices are within $22 for the rental fee I'm just wondering which of the 3 listed rental car companies has the best reputation in Kona? I have read stories about Maui Budget having some major issues with "running short" of cars. We are going next Christmas. Thanks for your advice!
The base rate for the rental was less through Costco, but the taxes and fees were $230. The taxes and fees for the Thrifty rental were only $90.47, making the total rental charge much less. I contacted Thrifty and they said they have a shuttle that picks you up at Lihue airport and takes you to their off-airport site (1.4 miles or 3 minutes ...
1. Re: Budget/Avis vs. Alamo/Enterprise Car Rentals. The cheaper the rental the more people pick it. Hence lines could be longer. 2. Re: Budget/Avis vs. Alamo/Enterprise Car Rentals. I don’t think there’s any real evidence about this although I do know it’s a bit of a common theory.
