Terminal A is about one mile in length and is served by an indoor, overhead tram that runs every 3 minutes in each direction. Ten minutes usually is sufficient time to get from one gate to another in Terminal A.

   The best weekly rental rates for this trip are $600, compared to about $400 for a weekly rental from DTW and $300 from GRR. Is there any way to make this rental more affordable, or am I outta luck? I've considered changing my flight so I'm flying in and out of GRR -- might actually be cheaper. Any advice would be great.    Car rental agencies are on airport grounds, about 10 minutes away from the terminals via free shuttle. Book the rental online, go to the rental car shuttle area and pick up your car 10 minutes later. Not sure if there are rental desks in the terminals as I never noticed.
