11 years ago. Save. Just spoke to Transport Dept of Ontario and they confirmed we cannot drive 12/15 seater van with a basic license from US since it requires Class-F type which is equivalent to Commercial type here in US.. Report inappropriate content. flyinmom. Toronto, Ontario.

Alamo claims to rent them, but I can't see details online. Seems this would be an expensive, specialty rental.
Large 12 or 15 Passenger Van Rental. 7 years ago. I need a large 12 or 15 passenger van. We are arriving into the Kona airport. I will need it for 1 week. 7/15 to 7/22. It seems none of the rental agencies carry them in Kona. I found one at Dollar but it is $2k for the week. OUCH. If I can not find it cheaper then I will take that one at Dollar.
Re: 12 seater passenger van rental. 4 years ago. I don't think there are 12-passenger mini-vans. There are passenger vans that hold 11 people, those being a driver and 10 others. For the larger passenger vans (15 people, I think), you are required to have a higher class of driver's license (a commercial passenger vehicle license).
