Verde Valley School Rd can get a little rough. Here you start at Oak Creek and take the Baldwin trail and do the hike in reverse or hike all around Cathedral Rock, if you wish. Starting at Red Rock Crossing from the West Sedona side will probably not give you access to the trails as you may not be able to cross Oak Creek.

The VVAC is in the process of developing an interactive children's discovery area that should be open by December. If you are an educator, the VVAC will be happy to schedule a team to come to your school to present a 1 hour program on the archaeology of the Verde Valley. Of course, presentations at the center can always be scheduled as field trips.

The Verde Valley Archaeology Center and Museum is the only facility in the Sedona and Verde Valley area that presents the history of the ancestral Hopi and Yavapai-Apache Nation. The museum presents a variety of exhibits on family life in the 11th through 14th Centuries.
