Hi. I have a general question regarding rental cars in the U.S. Can anyone give their experience on the age of rental cars? I'm not looking for a insanely detailed answer like, "all rental cars are 1 year and 56 days old", but more a guideline.
We suggest you organise a rental car to pick up at the airport when you arrive. They are cheap and get cheaper the longer you rent them. We did not do this and would defiantly get a rental next time. I read fine print carefully and I also *always* contact the rental car company and hotel directly after booking with any third party vendor. A couple of years ago the car I booked through them in San Diego was with Avis. When I called the Avis location the day after my booking to confirm the booking with them, they didn't have me in their system.
