    We suggest you organise a rental car to pick up at the airport when you arrive. They are cheap and get cheaper the longer you rent them.     I read fine print carefully and I also *always* contact the rental car company and hotel directly after booking with any third party vendor. A couple of years ago the car I booked through them in San Diego was with Avis. When I called the Avis location the day after my booking to confirm the booking with them, they didn't have me in their system.
