    The Natchez is a lovely leisurely ride towards the gulf and back. We really enjoy just being on the river, especially if it's a really nice day. The Creole Queen stops at Chalmette Battlefield (where the Battle of New Orleans took place). Ironically, the battlefield is a very nice peaceful park setting. You can watch a short video of the battle.

    This is a wonderful trip down the Mississippi to the Chalmette battlefields. Charles gives a fantastic, witty, droll historic account of the History of New Orleans and the lead up to the battle. You then get off the boat and onto the battlefield where a ranger gives you a great account of the battle. Then a lazy cruise back to city.
