Then there's the half avenue distance to the hotel; at 7 numbered avenues to a mile, that is 1/14 of a mile (average), so the total distance is less than one mile.

    1. Re: Google Maps walking times. First, use the subway. If you choose to walk, I would add 10 minutes for short distances and 20+ minutes for long distances, just to be safe. Once you start to understand how long it takes you to walk from A to B across streets/avenues, then you can adjust.
