The car rental agencies are located near to the hotels along Century Blvd; so no need to return to the terminal. After returning the car then go to your hotel with an inexpensive UBER or if located really close then walk there.

And unless you prepaid for fuel you will need to deal with that too before you drop off the car. So you have to start heading towards LAX early, unless your flight is really early or late. 4.
2. Re: Returning rental car to Alamo at LAX. 7 years ago. It should take less than a half hour to get to the Alamo rental return from Manhattan Beach. Of more concern is the amount of time to get the shuttle from Alamo back into LAX. I mention that because you have to wait for the shuttle and LAX was mobbed today.
3. Re: Rental car return at LAX. 6 years ago. To each his own. We stick together, because sometimes LAX can take 45 min. to drive around the horseshoe, back down Century Blvd to the car rentals. Plus there is limited or no seating on the ground level in the terminals with luggage and kids to wait for spouse at check in.
