9 years ago. I am mapping out a massive USA Road Trip and had my route drive times on the website: roadtrippers.com. A couple times seems 'long' to me so I went to google maps & all times were significantly shorter (yippee!). Went to mapquest.com & times were similar to Google Maps BU each leg of trip was 15-30 minutes longer on mapquest.
Apple Maps - covers the whole country. Bing Maps – covers the whole country. Google Maps - covers the whole country. Libre Map Project. MapQuest - covers the whole country. The National Map by the United States Geological Survey. Roadtrippers - covers the whole country. TerraServer-USA - covers the whole country.
1. Re: Goggle maps or mapquest. Verizon doesnot have a presence in the USVI. To use data on your Verzion iPhone you will need to be connected to Wi-Fi. So, using maps while moving around won't work because available Wi-Fi connections are hard to find. Phone calls will cost $1.99 per minute because you will be roaming on loaner towers.
47 helpful votes. 1. Re: Map quest or Google maps. 7 years ago. I prefer Google Maps. The times will differ for Google because it is in real time. Therefore the drive time will vary based on time of day (i.e. commute traffic vs. off hours), any accidents, etc. We live close to Silicon Valley and no one uses MapQuest here anymore.
