The DOT has no control if you buy your ticket from any 3rd party ticket. As to trip dot com. I think you will find most booking sites will charge a fee (50.00 to 200.00) to process almost anything this does include canceling before 24 hours has passed. You would pay this even if you cancel just 2 minutes after you book.

On Google Flights, RyanAir is the cheapest but I heard so many horror stories about it that I'm avoiding it and choosing the second cheapest airline, EasyJet. Google Flights says that Easyjet prices for the London-Kraw on May 16 will cost $73. But, on the Easyjet website, it says the price is 50.40 pounds which converts to $62.
I booked a relatively local flight via Spirit for about $35 ($70 total, 2 tickets). I now need to change the flight, and the current price is $59 ($118 total for 2). I'm wondering what would be cheapest: 1) change the flight, 2) cancel and rebook, or 3) book a new flight and just no-show for the original.
