I was trying to book Hilton Waikoloa Village for thanksgiving night and everywhere the nightly rates were around $780-$800 plus taxes and fees. This one website shows me the rate of $170 and with taxes and resort fees came up to $220.

So if you are comfortable with no phone number contact, email and postal address only go for it. If you are happy with their fees for cancellation within and after 24 hours go for it. Your money, your choice. I humbly suggest not making a decision based on an advertised price or because someone claims they saved money.
As noted Google Flights isn't an OTA, they just link you to the airlines or OTAs to buy the ticket.. The fare rules are set by the airline offering the fare. Re: No Show fee vs. cancelling? 6 years ago. You do not need to cancel, and should not - just do not turn up, the airline will not charge you. Airlines routinely overbook flights as they know a % of people miss their flight /do not turn up, so the "courtesy to let them know" issue also does not arise.
