I did a dummy reservation, and somewhere along the process, where Costco asks for "Renter's Detail", there is a slot where you enter Budget Fastbreak number. Maybe if you have already made the reservation, go back to edit "Renter's Detail" and enter your Fastbreak number.

Budget globally has an overall fairly good reputation in the rental car industry. While I have President's Circle Status with Hertz I rented with budget during my recent vacation to Guanacaste given they offered the best rates for the SUV I needed. The pick up at the airport was slightly disorganized but seems that was common for most car rentals.

My husband, who picks up the car, said the Budget line was HUGE, and the Avis line was very short, like none. He has asked that we never rent from Budget.

These deceptive practices are not limited to Budget and seem to pop up from time to time at many locations around the world with many different car rental agencies. I actually do the same thing when I check into a hotel. I check the amount I booked for on my reservation and compare it to the amount being charged at check in.
