Re: Displaying the "classic" Google flights. " (1) it does not have nearby airports". Click the "Airports" button above the search results. " (2) it does not have interactive map to see nearby options". At the upper left, next to "Google Flights " click the menu bars and select "Explore map" then select any departure airport and dates.
Search first without the map and click on the airline option after 'all filters' and 'stops'....click all airlines required or unclick the ones you do not need..... You can change the search afterwards by pressing 'anywhere' or say 'South Asia' for example and it will go back to a map, but with all the airlines you wanted. Reply.

Perfectly fine to book with the airline following a link form Google flights. Definitely easier to book multi-city itineraries this way.
Google Flights is still a great way to search for and find cheap flights, but Google discontinued Book on Google outside of the United States, which was a platform used to book hotels, in 2022.
