1. Re: Flight search tool that lets you use a continent as origin? The only site I’m aware of that allows you to do this is kiwi.com - it allows you to set a destination and then you can draw up to three circles on a map to use as areas for departure airports.
Re: Displaying the "classic" Google flights. " (1) it does not have nearby airports". Click the "Airports" button above the search results. " (2) it does not have interactive map to see nearby options". At the upper left, next to "Google Flights " click the menu bars and select "Explore map" then select any departure airport and dates.
