Answer 1 of 3: I haven't been to Kansas City or a Chiefs game in a few years, but will be coming back for a visit and game in a couple weeks. We used to stay in Crown Center and take a Chiefs Express bus to and from the stadium, and it was great.
I do believe we end up going I-40 and making sure to avoid LA. Now we have to figure what our goal pit stop cities will be. It looks to be about a 28 drive, want to break it up over three days, hopefully in decreasing tiered length like: 12 hours, 10 hours, and then 6 hours. Possibly San Jose to Flagstaff to Elk City, OK to Kansas City roughly.

Salina has many more options for food and lodging. Both cities have a lot to do, though Old Abilene town is far down my picks.
