Thanks. It appears there's no AAA discount on Hertz right now except for weekend and weekly rentals (I'm renting for 4 weekdays). Hertz has a 25% off discount coupon code, but it only allows one CDP code, so it won't let me enter my AAA information to get the free second driver.
110 helpful votes. 6. Re: extra charge on Hertz car rental for being over 65. 12 years ago. For a Hertz reservation, they ask your age in this manner: 18-19, 20-24 or 25+. There is no mention of a charge for a 65+ driver. I called them and got the same information. I think there is some misunderstanding here.
Answer 1 of 9: A few years ago, someone posted a discount code for Budget and we were able to save quite a lot of money. Wondering if anyone has a current one they are willing to share.
AARP membership allows you to add a second driver on the rental at no charge, and a free upgrade (but whether the upgrade actually happens won't be known until we actually pick up the rental). The BCD code for AARP members is Y508501, and if you add a stackable coupon code of MUWZ058 you'll get an additional $25 off.
Look under their Car Rental Section to see if Hertz has any discount codes. I looked on-line for National rental car rates then I plugged in the codes that mousesavers.com provided and ran the on-line again and my rate went down. (I got a mid-size SUV for 3days for $134 - that is the final price including all taxes and fees and $9 per day carseat)
