Dec 2021 • Family. Amtrak auto train from Sanford to Orlando began with a 4hr delay, communicated in advance. Upon required check-in the delay time was still legitimate. Over the next 3 hrs the delay increased by over 90 min and ultimately the train left the station nearly 5.5 hrs later than scheduled.

Since you say that Amtrak instigated the cancellation you should have been given other pertinent information and a reroute. There are 3 trains a day serving Washington - Savanah. : The Palmetto, The Silver Meteor, The Silver Star.
