   I just went thru the same excercise in renting a car. Priceline adds an extra fee on top of taxes and airport fees. While the cost of the car looks good compare the taxes. In LA a car for 161 rented from priceline had about $50 in fees while offsite the tax was only $20. Look at

When I got to the rental counter after an hour standing in line, the agent could not find any reservation for me.

However time pressures sometimes means it’s easier to see the sort of prices on offer on an aggregator site rather than traveling through each supplier individually. I’ve learned a lesson though.    I use Priceline quite often for my flight tickets, hotel bookings and car rentals. I used Priceline for car rental in Fajardo. I never used the booking since we found a better solution for car rental. However, I as charged $44 by Priceline for Collision Damage. I dont understand why Priceline would charge me for a service they never provided.
