I'm going to be visiting my son for 2 weeks in July, and when I checked car rental rates on Costco Travel I was stunned to find that the price for my stay if I picked up the car at the airport was $968 for the cheapest option, but if I pick up the car downtown and drop it off at the airport it's only $428!
In general, the only people who write car rental reviews are those who have a bad experience. So they're not as good a source of feedback as would be restaurant reviews. I rent cars at Denver frequently. My go-to list is Avis, National, Hertz in that order. I've never once had a bad experience.
