The check-in was smooth. We used the valet parking. They charge a bit for it. The entire underground tunnels are called subways :-). We could get breakfast and then walk over to the Mayo Clinic tour. The carpet is very shabby, worn and has a large number of very obvious stains. The furniture is similarly worn and stained while also being really outdated. The wall air conditioner is literally taped in. The bathroom appeared to have been updated more recently (like at least in the 2000's) but was dirty.
Have been here twice, the rooms are gorgeous and an excellent Crave restaurant is located here! The hotel is attached to the downtown skyway, so it makes it really easy to get to Mayo Clinic and other clinic buildings and shopping.
