Technology is such that direct links from rental companies are imbedded in OTA, airline & other rental booking channels so you don’t book a rental car when a location is closed.

The top rated company, National, received 2.3 stars. That's not an awfully convincing measure of trust. And consider that six of the eight rental firms were each rated at less that two stars ...
2. Re: Which Rental Car Companies Are Easiest at Airport. All car rental facilities at LAX are off-site, and you will need to take a shuttle from the terminal to get to one. I would stick with the major firms - Avis, Budget, Enterprise, Hertz, National, Thrifty.
1) Currently I was reading reviews about all the big three (Avis, Sixt and Hertz) all seem to have extremely bad reviews both on this site and others such as Yelp. Apparently there seems to be a scam to over charge renters for minor scratches etc especially when they don't have full insurance.
