   It was cheaper to book via US site probably because I made a reservation as an "Alamo insider". It is free to be an "insider" and you will get a better deal. The final price of 1 week car rental of Suzuki Jimmy 1.4L(Manual) was US$335, including the mandatory insurance and tax. The staff there were not super friendly, but professional.

   Re: Rent a car from Expedia or direct from Avis etc ? Always book direct. Especially with cars in such short supply. If you show up at the Hertz counter with a Hertz reservation you will get better help if there is a problem, than if you book through a third party and have to track down Expedia in a hurry.

   Travelocity assured me I had made a car rental reservation in a Caribbean island. I paid $20 for a taxi to airport to retrieve this car rental and was told they had NO CAR RESERVED for me. I was stiffed. No car rentals were to be had becuase Travelocity is a LIE> Do NOT DO BUSINESS With Travelocity. Ever.
