   In the face of much conflicting advice about picking up an Avis rental car from a cruise ship at the Port of Miami, I have two questions: 1. Does the Avis shuttle bus work as it claims it does - picking up from each ship at 30 minute intervals. 2. Is there a Preferred Service there, and does it work as it should.

Both these locations are near the port, the first one would have less traffic in the neighborhood directly surrounding it: 1717 N Bayshore Dr. 1109 Brickell Ave. I would simply take an uber from Enterprise to the cruise port.

   We love getting off the ship but it's so demanding and nerve wrecking to drive 2 hours to see something unusual but then have to drive back so soon. Besides the Mexican ports (Been there too often), are there Caribbean cruises that might stop 2 days like in St-Thomas, Aruba, St-Martin, Martinique and other locations?
