AA used 787 whilst BA 777, both planes were clean and had everything fully functioning although the 777 had more cabin noise from engines. The seat, pillow and blanket were better on BA. Whilst AA amenities kit was better.

Re: American Airlines Standby; same day or 24 hours? 8 years ago. bear in mind, unless you have status on American Airlines, if there was an earlier same day departure available, then there will be a $75 fee for doing so (the fee also doesn't apply if you are in F, in J, a full fare Y, or on active military duty).
