What I don’t like about Hertz, they charge you each and every day of the rental, even if you never go through another toll. The max is $24 or so, but it’s just flat out wrong.

My issue is that these costs are not disclosed immediately because of the way Hertz issues rental contracts.

However, the Play Pass program is actually an outsourced operation that charges $4.95 per day up to five days of rental, even for one instance of EZ Pass use. This happened to me. I used the EZ Pass in my Hertz rental to cross the Triborough Bridge on my way to return the rental. The toll is $8.00.
