    I just put two routes I use fairly regulary into Google/AA/RAC in that order setting off now and the results for the first were 56/51/51 minutes and the second 2hr54m/2hr56m/2hr56m so very little in it. The first journey I normally find is just under an hour in the week; the second is probably reasonable for the driving time (I stop on the way).

    @lovemytanner - have a look at the AA route planner for driving times and routes. These are reasonably accurate but most people recommend you add 10 - 20% to allow for slow traffic (we get a lot of agricultural vehicles on the roads!), roadworks and rest breaks.
