I was trying to book Hilton Waikoloa Village for thanksgiving night and everywhere the nightly rates were around $780-$800 plus taxes and fees. This one website shows me the rate of $170 and with taxes and resort fees came up to $220.

Works like a charm, but in my opinion you have to be doing something (other than being a simple tourist) to warrant the cost/hassle of a sat phone. Have fun.
