You will need a credit card to get a rental from any major company, and probably all of the minor ones. Report inappropriate content.
It is usually a bad idea to use a debit card for car rental because of the hold that the rental car companies will put on your money. You can ask how much of a hold they'll require ahead of time but it is normal business practice for that to occur. Hotels will also place a hold on your money when using a debit card. When I've rented, I've been told that if I used a debit card, a hold would be put on a certain amount of money until the car was returned, but I've never done it. As noted, contact the rental companies, travel agent.or international car rental service.
