It appears that a stay of more than 90 days is not taxed as short-term, but I see nothing about refunds. If you have paid the tax already, you should first ask the operator whether they have remitted it, and whether they'll help you get it back.

In Horry County the total rate is 12% unless inside the City Limits of Myrtle Beach where it is 13%. I am not sure if the city of NORTH Myrtle Beach has the 12 or 13%.
Other cities commonly provide that information, as did Horry County. The request for total cost for those trips have been denied by Myrtle Beach. Refusing to disclose taxpayer expenses.
