If you then look at the UA site and check each of those earlier Expedia flights individually (i.e. SHV-IAH and IAH-VPS) both legs are available to book directly with UA. So the flights are in UA's schedule and open for booking, just not showing up as a single-booking connecting option when searching on UA.
Go to "manage my booking" to check on future reservations. When you enter your reservation locator and surname, you can view your reservation, check the flight times, and even change seats. Close to departure, use "flight status" to see if your scheduled flight has been cancelled or delayed.
Unfortunately, United continually changes flight numbers, so when I look up the numbers for my original reserved flights, I find the flight numbers now belong to a completely different route. Question for folks who flew codeshare UA-LH and booked through united. I booked a round-trip through UA, which includes segments operated by LH. The united website says my reservation is confirmed on LH, and I was able to select a seat and everything for LH segments, on the LH website.
