earlier this year we flew into FLL airport and rented with Budget for 24 hours. We then returned the car to the Port of Miami location (which is like 2 or 3 miles away) and had the shuttle take us to the port. Just be aware that the cost of a rental car "one way" can add some extra $$ on top of already expensive prices.

There are two companies that have offices just outside the Port gates ( there are two gates at the ends of our very large port.)-. Budget is at the north gate at a small storefront location called the Quay on 17th St .

There are no car rental companies inside the port , but I know of two that are just outside the Port gates and run shuttles into the Port for customers. They are Budget at the location called the Quay on SE 17th St which is right outside the north port entrance ...
All the rental car agencies in the joint car rental center at FLL Airport are only about a $10-15 taxi ride from the Port generally speaking , so that may broaden your choices for a very small sum. Report inappropriate content
