If you book Southwest and the price drops you can rebook and get a credit towards a future flight for the difference. I don’t think $300 r/t is a bad price if the flight dates and times are right for you considering you won't pay for bags.
I would book your flights well in advance. The airlines are predicting a huge increase in demand for travel this summer. Saturday Hawaii had 32k arrivals; pre-covid they averaged 20k. Once ppl are vaccinated they will feel safe to travel. I have seen flights double for cabo recently. As others have said always book direct with the airline.
8. Re: When to Book Airfare. We booked our tickets for mid march 19 days ago and they have already gone up £150. I also notice playing around with the days really made a difference as well, we are actually staying two nights longer, and even with a hotel for another two nights was still cheaper traveling back mid-week.
