Hello, I will be in Tokyo for a week and I know some of you may laugh but I have a hard time with Asian food and fish.     Hi June, you're traveling with kids, so best to avoid morning, evening rush as mentioned above. As well as around 11:30 pm til closing since everyone is trying to get home or as close to home as possible before the trains stop. If you have to go out in the morning, try before 7 am and have breakfast or snack at the stn or destination. Good luck!
