   When I was done and told what my hotel was my charge was 2.00 more then if I just booked that hotel on Priceline. So it was no deal it was a 2.00 sleaze. Called them and never heard a thing from them. Their express deals in the past were good. So I do not know if this is a new plan to increase their cut. As it was only 2.00 it is not a big deal.

   I would consider Priceline for a big discount, but not just to save a few bucks. I ended up booking direct with Alamo car rental . I like Alamo because as a member of their free Insiders club I got a small discount (maybe 5%) off the price, but more importantly I can check in online and avoid the airport check in desk by simply going to the lot ...

   Priceline is ABSOLUTELY scamming it’s customers. When they say the “Express Deal” is $20.00 cheaper and they charge you an extra $19.20 in “taxes and fees”, that is my definition of a S-C-A-M. (Fairly easy check - Ramsey MN, 6/17/22 - Comfort Suites). However, I’m not sure Priceline is setting the “taxes and fees”.

However time pressures sometimes means it’s easier to see the sort of prices on offer on an aggregator site rather than traveling through each supplier individually. I’ve learned a lesson though.
