   Priceline is ABSOLUTELY scamming it’s customers. When they say the “Express Deal” is $20.00 cheaper and they charge you an extra $19.20 in “taxes and fees”, that is my definition of a S-C-A-M. (Fairly easy check - Ramsey MN, 6/17/22 - Comfort Suites). However, I’m not sure Priceline is setting the “taxes and fees”.

However time pressures sometimes means it’s easier to see the sort of prices on offer on an aggregator site rather than traveling through each supplier individually. I’ve learned a lesson though.    Regular Booking - $151 - Taxes : 22.97. They send me below info -- which is completely FRAUD Practice. They ESTIMATE your taxes ( Overly estimates -- @12 taxes -- estimates $26!) They collect extra TAXES and then KEEP it !!! as part of service -- Not DISCLOSING this breakdown of fees!--.

   I can cancel 48 hours prior. Priceline has a non refundable for 150/night. If I'm more or less 100% sure about the trip at the 48 hours point and the Priceline deal is still available, should I cancel my Encore reservation and book through Priceline? I know from a $ standpoint the choice seems obvious.

   One I knew the name of the other was an express deal. the one I knew the name of when I followed it all the way through to the point where it told me my grand total with taxes and fees for the room. it was a total of $104.13 total with $15.13 of that being in fees and taxes.
