I can see why you can get in trouble of something happens to your car at night. No lights on the highway and no one to help you. It is pitch black. Reviewed November 30, 2022 via mobile. We always rent from Hertz in Iceland. The cars and service are excellent. Staff is very friendly. I suggest getting an SUV and the wifi option for Iceland and I alway get full coverage as you don’t have to worry. Yes it’s $200 more but the peace of mind is worth it.
Used them twice for total of 4 weeks. Took all extra insurance as i didnt want headaches. Experience after about 2300 miles driven was outstanding wi Hertz. No games at return about damage. We were careful and didnt do any damage and actually washed each car once to keep it from looking a mess from road dirt.
