It included all of the insurance and I had a worry-free trip. I booked again for a trip in 2020 it was going to cost me €897 for a compact automatic for 12 days.

I've been once before and rented thru Conn's Ireland Car Rental (they include full insurance) for 1 week, it was about $550 I think in 2019. This time I need a car for 13 days. With insurance (the only way Conns does it) the cost was Є1645. Thats close to $2000 which seems ridiculous to me. So I decided to use my Costco Citi Card insurance.
Note that Citibank dropped ALL rental car coverage, worldwide, from all of their cards starting this week. I've read rumors that the Costco card may still have benefits, but even my $500 annual fee Prestige had coverage axed along with just about all other travel benefits.

All Chase Visas and Mastercards offer insurance from Chase. All Citibank Visas and Mastercars offer insurance from Citibank. All Amex cards directly issued by Amex offer coverage. Discover offers coverage, but nobody accepts Discover for payment and their maximum payout is very low. Several other banks Mastercards offer coverage through Mastercard.
