I bought a package once with Costco and bought my own travel insurance policy from TravelGuard with all the personal coverages I wanted. A friend has a cruise package including air , cruise, hotel etc that has a cancellation schedule and he bought a policy from Travelguard to cover the whole package
Holland American says to go through Costco, Costco online says to contact the travel department, and after 3 hours on hold, the message says call back later! Did speak w corporate office. They took down info and said we’ll get a call back. Not sure we will. Just want a fax number to register our cancellation on time for credit.
We contacted Costco Travel in hopes they would help us reason with Royal Caribbean and get a partial refund since this was a medical emergency. Costco Travel’s initial response was just to spell out the Royal Caribbean’s late cancellation policy: no refunds if the cruise is canceled within 30 days of the departure date.

Had purchased Costco through Zurich and always had good results with Costco. Not so much this time. Put in my claim June 5, 2024 and called numerous times waiting hours on the phone.

22. Re: Costco refunds? 4 years ago. Hi, We had a Costco Travel Package booked the end of 2019 for Europe. And the trip was cancelled by Costco about one or two weeks prior to our travel plan. And Costco notified us through email and asked us to contact them for the trip cancellation. However, we're also instructed to call airline separately.
The hard one is whether the airline will even give you a refund--or just a "travel credit". These are extraordinary times.....I would take a refund, no matter who or what I had booked. No one knows how the fallout and re-shaping of travel will go.
