Hi, I have seen on here that it is a good idea to add a Thrifty Blue Chip number to our car hire booking so that we don’t have to wait as long at the desk. We booked ( and paid for) our car using Rentalcars.com ( we are in Australia).
14 years ago. I have rented from both Thrifty and Dollar, they are major national chains. My car has always been there (or free upgrade given), clean, current tag. I have never paid for the extra insurance since I have full coverage auto insurance that covers rental cars (check with yours) plus my credit card covers it, almost all do these days.

Deciding on a car rental company is always so difficult so thought I would share our recent experience with Thrifty, I kept checking for good rates and found one offered for one day only on Christmas Day! $688 all taxes in for 21 days mid Feb to first week of March.
