    You can still see the tuna auctions from what I know. There was a period around New Year's when it was closed off. I am sure somebody knows the correct answer. Even without seeing the auction though, and even if you don't like sushi, etc, it's still a worthy place to go. There is plenty of seafood to see at the bustling market.
